Maybe it's not as stupid as I thought
It's more depressing instead and now I've Dr. Googled it and freaked myself out. I have what are known as patulous eustachian tubes. There's no known cure, and it could last for freaking ever. One possible cure is gaining back the weight, but I'd really rather not do that. I was all excited about my weight loss and the thought of gaining it back is pretty depressing.
Even worse is crying at work. Today totally sucks.

Did you ENT mention putting artifical tubes in your ears - the way they do for kids sometimes? I had them.
I wish there was something I could do to help.
Hey J! Maybe you are getting ahead of yourself. You are young and healthy. What you are going through is really unusual, but don't think of it as chronic. Your doctor said you need to give your body time to adjust. Every body is different. This didn't happen when you lost weight before.
Okay I bordering on cheerleader I know, but don't let it get to you. When you saw your doc, he didn't give you an indication of any of this scary stuff.

Yuck, I'm sorry. The firt thing I thought of too was something like tubes. It's worth a shot to ask. I hope you can find something that works and gives you relief.
First, the suckage deserves a moment of acknowledgement---so sorry to heat that you're dealing with all of this.
But . . .Dr Google can be an alarmist.
I hope you're feeling better soon.
